Hula Basics
Introduction and fundamentals of hula for all new and experienced students

Na Keiki Hula (Hula for children)
ages 6 to 12
Papa Na 'Opio (Hula for teens)
ages 13 to 17
Papa Lehua
(Advanced Hula for women)
ages 18 & above
Na Kupuna Hula (For women )
ages 50+


Students are expected to arrive early and be ready for the beginning of their class. For all classes, women and girls are encouraged to wear a pa'u (hula skirt) and men and boys to wear loose-fitting clothing. It is also recommended, but not required, to wear the Halau T-shirt to class.
